Toke Makinwa Beats Toolz, Lolo, Other OAPs As She Hits 1million Followers On Instagram

Everything is sure working for vlogger/radio presenter/author, Toke Makinwa.

Just as she is basking in the success of the launch of her tell-all book, ‘On Becoming’ she has reached a million followers on the online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing, and social networking service, Instagram!

For one who is not a musician, actress or public office holder, its obvious Toke has succeeded in making a brand of herself.

Kemiashefonlovehaven learnt that the recent upsurge in the followership base of Toke, who was married to fitness coach, Maje Ayida, is as a result of her new book, ‘On Becoming’. 

The book remains the most-sought-after in online bookstore.

Now the most talked about celebrity due to revelations in her book which revealed intimate secrets of her crashed marriage, any post on Toke’s IG attracts at least 8k likes and numerous comments. Her latest post as at time of filing this report has attracted 17.8k!

So far, Toke has beaten Tolu Oniru-Demuren aka Toolz, another popular OAP who has garnered 618k followers. Other popular OAPs are Omotunde Adebowale-David aka Lolo (261k followers) Tosyn Buknor (118k followers).

If by January 2017 Toke has garnered over a million followers on IG, before the first quarter is over, she will beat South Africa’s most popular media girl, Bonang Matheba who has grossed 1.3million followers.

With the media tour of her book still ongoing, the Idanre, Ondo State-born 32-year-old fashionista is set to remain in the limelight for a long time in the New Year.
