Hollywood Actor George Clooney, Wife Expecting Twins

Are George Clooney and his wife Amal set to become parents? America's In Touch Weekly magazine claims that the Hollywood actor and the British-Lebanese lawyer are expecting twins – a boy and a girl.

Citing a source close to the lawyer, 38, the publication reports that the Hollywood power couple were "surprised" when they found out they were expecting twins, but news they were having one of each made them feel they'd hit the "family jackpot".

The couple, who married in September 2014 in a wedding exclusively covered by HELLO!, were eager to start a family and are said to be excitedly picking out names.

Amal has been pictured with a slightly rounded tummy.

The news was first reported by the Lebanon Daily Star, who quoted a family source confirming the happy news of the pair's twin pregnancy.

Amal's small rounded tummy has certainly been sparking pregnancy rumours among fans and celebrity watchers. The stunning activist was pictured with what appeared to be a baby bump at a screening for The White Helmets in London in early January. She again appeared at the Credit Suisse Women Of Impact dinner in Davos on Tuesday wearing a loose-fitted outfit revealing a very slightly fuller middle.

Her father Ramzi Alamuddin has made no secret of his desire to become a grandfather. At their wedding he told the bride and groom: "Now it's time for grandchildren."

A pregnancy would certainly complete the pair's gilded life together complete. Once Hollywood's most confirmed bachelor, George has been practically shouting from the rooftops about his love for his beautiful wife. He has said that the British lawyer is "the smart one" in their marriage, as well as being "an amazing human being, caring and with a great sense of humour".

The actor went on to marvel at her sense of style, saying: "She (keeps up to date with fashion) while she's got 11 cases she's working on, and she was teaching at Columbia University, and she's still like, 'I want to wear that dress."
