Toke Makinwa’s Estranged Husband Counts Losses, Fans Urge Him To Write Too

Investigations by Kemiashefonlovehaven have unearthed the fact that as OAP Toke Makinwa smiles  to the bank now as a result of proceeds from her book, “On Becoming” which she launched yesterday November 27, in Lagos, Nigeria, her estranged husband, Maje Ayida, would be on the opposite end—his business would suffer some mishaps.

According to Maje, who is fast becoming a celebrity fitness coach, the result of the negative media Toke’s kiss-and-tell ‘separation’ device generated was bad for him and his business in 2015.

Currently, with the reactions on her new book, he might experience another downturn.

In an interview he had with an online TV recently, Maje revealed:"I had a very dramatic year last year. I am kind of slowly trying to climb out of that hole. How did I deal with it? I focused on my work. I put my work forward and allowed that speak for me. A couple of the big brands I worked with got a bit spooked. Business wasn't actually kicking.”

Toke had accused him of infidelity; he called off their marriage plans thrice before conceding to wed her; he betrayed her trust in him; his irresponsibility by not fending for her but his mistress and the love child, and also infecting her with a Sexually Transmitted Disease which caused itching in her vagina! She disclosed all these in some chapters of her book.

Though Maje, who dated Toke for 12 years before he finally wedded her, tried upping his game and engaging in some media re-launch(he is a columnist in Thisday newspaper and also featured on the cover of Guardian Life on November 27),  he definitely needs to work harder to erase negative impressions from the public especially women, who constitute a chunk of his clientele.

He also confessed in the interview with the online TV, "I think its life. I think it happens. If you are in the media for the wrong reason, its going to affect you.”

Of course he said he has learnt his lessons, “I learnt that people could be vicious. People could be judgmental when they know nothing about you or anything about your story or where you are coming from but its fine. Hold on to the people that do know you. They are the ones that matter and don't get derailed.”

Ironically, some of his followers on social media are urging him to go and write his own book.

A follower with the handle, tolicoron, posted, “Please we are waiting for your own version of book.”
Another, banky_burnley, posted, “When's your book "Long after becoming" coming out?”

Will Maje also write?
We are waiting!
