Just a few weeks to marking the end of 2016, the Yoruba
movie industry was thrown into grief with the death of an old actress, Kudirat
Ajimati aka Ajimat. She died today November 15, 2016 in the early hours of the morning.
The cause of death remains unknown. According to a press statement released by the
Abeokuta, Ogun State chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures
Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPPAN) the industry has lost a gem and
she would be greatly missed.
Ajimat’s death occurred five months after Henrietta
Kosoko, 53, died. Henrietta, who was married to actor Jide Kosoko, died on
Monday, June 6, 2016.
