When Mr FACEBOOK, Mark Zukerberg Visited Nigeria

It was fun from Tuesday August 30th through Wednesday August 31st for Nigerians especially those in the creative industry when founder of Facebook, Mark Zukerberg, visited Nigeria. The unannounced visit was marked with a visit to Co-creation Hub in Yaba, Lagos and the next day, he had a Talent Lounge with Nollywood actors and some music artistes in Lagos.
Discussing the challenges of the industry with the seventh richest man in the world, Kunle Afolayan, filmmaker/actor highlighted attempts to get an app that would help fight piracy especially for films posted online. The FACEBOOK Executive Chairman was all ears and in another meeting he answered questions from some youth on sundry issues.

He didn’t forget to mention that he enjoyed Nigerian Jollof rice with shrimps and snails. Many of the artistes took turns for selfies with him.
Mark, who surprised every one when he suddenly landed in Lagos on Tuesday afternoon, has landed in Kenya and is currently in the country's capital, Nairobi.

The Facebook founder shared this via his official page less than an hour ago:

"Just landed in Nairobi! I'm here to meet with entrepreneurs and developers, and to learn about mobile money -- where Kenya is the world leader.

I'm starting at a place called iHub, where entrepreneurs can build and prototype their ideas. Two of the engineers I met -- Fausto and Mark -- designed a system to help people use mobile payments to buy small amounts of cooking gas, which is a lot safer and better for the environment than charcoal or kerosene. It's inspiring to see how engineers here are using mobile money to build businesses and help their community."
