Actress Sola Kosoko Says, “I Miss My Quarrels With Henrietta Kosoko”

The first daughter of widower, Jide Kosoko, has opened up on her relationship with her late step mum, Henrietta Kosoko who died on June 6, 2016. According to the pretty actress, though she and Henrietta quarreled, she still loved her and miss her. She told SUNDAY PUNCH:
“The late Henrietta Kosoko was my stepmother who tried her best when I was young. She always guided and supervised us. Her twins from a previous relationship and her younger brother lived with us for several years. Though there were times we quarrelled, she was a mother indeed. I certainly miss her; she was a very jovial person who made people laugh a lot.  I also miss our quarrels.”
Unlike most Nollywood marriages, Sola’s is intact and the marriage has produced a daughter. Speaking glowingly of her spouse, Sola said, “My husband remains my first baby and number one priority.  I ensure I am always there for my husband, and he also stands by me at all times. I have learnt to respect my husband and in-laws. Being humble is the key to success. Humility takes you very far.
“I thank God for the kind of husband I have. He encourages me a lot, and I carry him along in all my endeavours. In fact, he is my unofficial manager. We are both involved in the checks and balances of my career and marriage.”
She didn’t forget to mention her father, Jide Kosoko, “I am very close to my father because he is my greatest adviser, and mentor. He is a responsible father who always supports his children and their spouses .He is a man of the people and he is very generous. He gives to the detriment of himself and his family. My dad influenced my acting career. As a kid, he made me act in the Omo Orukan. When I was a bit grown, he persuaded me to feature in his movies, Oko Irese and Ola Abata. After taking part in those movies, my father and other members of our family convinced me that I acted well.  My dad’s colleagues also said I acted in a convincing manner.”
A happy-go-lucky actress, she has found joy in raising her only child. Of motherhood, she remains grateful to God for the adventure.
She said, “For me it has been a profound and unique adventure. My daughter is a fun-loving girl, and there are no dull moments with her. Though you can’t rule out the stress associated with motherhood, it really is something you take pleasure in.”
Describing herself as, “a simple and easy-going person,” she said she loves to keep a low profile and keep to herself a lot.
But, “I hang out with my friends sometimes, or rest by watching movies at home. I enjoy going to the cinemas and I love to be around my family. I dislike deceitful people.”
Decent dressing remains a rule for her no matter the level of stardom. Sola said, “You won’t see me in questionable or immature clothing that can discredit my background and marital status. The only times I wear clothes of that nature are when I am on the set of a movie and the character I am playing requires that I dress in such a manner.”
