On Thursday October 20, 2016, royalty changed baton in Benin
Kingdom. His Royal Highness, Eheneden Erediauwa, was crowned the 39th Oba of
Benin Kingdom. He succeeded his late father, Omo n’ Oba n’ Edo Uku Akpolopkolo.
As expected, the new Oba of Benin is married and has queens.
Their names: Princess
Iroghama (Obazuaye N’erie), Princess Iyayiota (Obazuwa N’erie) and Princess
Ikpakpa (ohe N’erie).
Erediauwa ascended the 836-year-old throne of his ancestors
which is the oldest and one of the most revered in Nigeria.
