Aisha Falode Smiles Again As Daughter Graduates

Aisha and daughter, Tolu

Veteran broadcaster and sports enthusiast, Aisha Falode, has reasons to smile again. Her firstborn, Tolu, who has now become the only child since she lost her son, Oloruntoba, graduated from the Duke University School of Law with a Masters in Law.
Toba died two years ago in the United Arab Emirate.
The UAE irritatingly grabbed the headlines in the Nigerian media when Oloruntoba, who was studying at SAE Institute, was killed. The authorities of the institution where Oloruntoba was studying Audio Production before his death, told his mum, Aisha, that he fell from the balcony of his apartment located on the 17th floor of Manchester Towers, Dubai Marina.
The young man was planning to delve into full time entertainment before his untimely death. The distraught mum faulted the school’s submissions of what killed her promising 19-year-old son and still seeking justice.
She wants the mysteries behind Toba’s death unravelled.

However, last year August, to mark Toba’s 21st posthumous birthday, his sister Tolu wrote a book, “The Gift of Grace,” as tribute.
Then, imagine Aisha’s joy this past weekend when her daughter graduated from the Law School in the US. She posted on Facebook:
“I was a proud and thankful mother as I watched my daughter's Hooding at the Duke University School of Law Class of 2016 with a Masters Degree in Law. It is all by His grace. To You Lord, be all the glory!

A graduate of Physical and Health Education Aisha, who worked at the African Independent Television for many years and later emerged the Falcon national team coordinator and CAF Media Committee member, now produces and presents a women magazine programme, THE AMAZONS.
