Another tragedy that could have occurred in the sports
world was averted today when Super Eagles player, Ogenyi Onazi, escaped unhurt
in an auto accident. The young man, whose traditional marriage held yesterday
in Benin, Edo State, was full of praises to God. He took to Instagram some hours
ago today thanking God.
He posted: “Devil Na lie for you. Thank God we are fine. But our
government no dey try at all, bad roads they are not called pot hole put well
on the road Christ. #praisehim.” (sic)
Apparently trying to avoid a bad spot on the Ogere area
of Ogun State on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway, the tyre beside the driver’s seat
burst and was torn into pieces.
The young man who plays as a central midfielder for Serie A club Lazio and the Nigeria national football team is set to marry his fiancé Sandra Ogunsuyi. The pretty damsel just completed her national youth service in Lagos.
The white wedding holds on Saturday, June 18.
However, in May 2016, ahead of the wedding, the Onazi and Sandra’s pre-wedding photo were released.
